Daily Harvest Recalls French Lentil + Leek Crumbles in Response to Reports of Gastrointestinal Illness

Daily Harvest, Inc., recently announced the voluntary recall of French Lentil + Leek Crumbles in response to reports of gastrointestinal illness and potential issues related to liver function.

French Lentil + Leek Crumbles is a frozen product packaged in a white pouch. Between April 28 and June 17, 2022, approximately 28,000 units of the product were sold to US consumers. As of June 23, 2022, there have been 470 reports of illness or adverse reactions reported by consumers to Daily Harvest; the recall applies to all lot codes of the product.

Daily Harvest’s voluntary recall of French Lentil + Leek Crumbles has been issued in cooperation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Consumers in possession of the recalled product should promptly discard it. Daily Harvest noted that none of its other products are affected by this recall.

According to the company, “consumer safety is our highest priority, and we have taken immediate steps to stop production and distribution of the product and conduct a root cause investigation, which is ongoing.”
